Who we are
Prop Firm Duel (propfirmduel.com, "the site") is an independent directory of prop firm rules, prices and payouts. It is operated in the United States. In this policy "we", "us" and "our" mean the operator of Prop Firm Duel. For personal information covered by the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we are the controller.

What we collect, and why

We don't collect payment details, government IDs, precise location or any sensitive personal information, and we don't buy personal information from anyone.
Tools that run in your browser
Compare, Replay My Trades, the Survival Test, Stack Builder, All-in Cost, the Match Quiz and the Duel run entirely in your browser. The results you type and the programs you pick are not sent to us or stored by us. Some tools keep your current selections in the page address after the # sign, so you can share a link; that part of an address is never sent to a web server. The site doesn't ask you to upload files.
Emails
We don't send emails. There is no mailing list, newsletter or alert, and no way to subscribe. If you email us, we reply to you and that's all.
If we ever decide to send other emails, we'll ask for your permission first, every email will include a way to unsubscribe and our postal address, and this policy will be updated before anything is sent.
Cookies and similar technologies
We don't set cookies for visitors, and we don't use advertising, analytics or cross-site tracking cookies, tracking pixels or fingerprinting, so there is no cookie banner. The only cookie on the site is a strictly necessary one that signs site staff in to the admin area.
Visit statistics
We use the web analytics built into Ghost, the platform this site runs on, to count visits in aggregate: which pages are read and roughly where visitors come from, such as a search engine or a social site. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't build a profile of you and isn't used for advertising. We use the totals to see which pages help people and to fix the ones that don't.

Fonts are served from our own site, so your browser doesn't contact a font service. If a page embeds a video from a third party such as YouTube, that provider may set its own cookies when you play it, under its own privacy policy.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising (as those terms are used in California law). We disclose it only to:
- Service providers (processors) that run the site for us under contract: our website platform and hosting provider (Ghost), and our email inbox provider for messages you send us. They may use it only to provide their service to us.
- Authorities or others when the law requires it, or when needed to protect the rights, safety or property of our users, the public or us.
- A successor if the site is sold or transferred, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.
When you click a link to a prop firm, you leave our site, and the firm's own privacy policy applies to anything you give it.
International transfers
We and our providers are based in, or process data in, the United States and other countries. Where GDPR or UK law applies to a transfer, we rely on our providers' safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy framework the provider participates in.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email propfirmduel@gmail.com. We'll answer within one month, or sooner if your local law requires, and we won't treat you differently for using your rights. We may need to confirm your identity first, usually by asking you to reply from the email address you used.
EU, EEA and UK residents also have the rights to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent. You can complain to your local data protection authority, though we'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
California residents have the rights to know, delete and correct personal information, to opt out of its sale or sharing, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We don't sell or share personal information and don't collect sensitive personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of or limit. In the last 12 months we collected the categories in the table above (identifiers such as an email address, and internet or network activity), from you and your browser, for the purposes listed there, and disclosed them only to the service providers listed above. You can make a request yourself or through an authorized agent.
Residents of other U.S. states with privacy laws, such as Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas and Oregon, have similar rights to access, correct, delete and get a copy of personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale and profiling. We don't do any of those. If we deny a request, you can appeal by replying to our answer; if we deny the appeal, you can contact your state attorney general.
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of sale and sharing. We don't track you across sites, so there is nothing further for Do Not Track to switch off.
Children
This site is for adults. It isn't directed to children and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
We use reputable providers, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls, and we keep what we collect to a minimum. No website can promise perfect security. If a breach affected your personal information, we'd notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
Automated decisions
We don't make decisions about you based solely on automated processing, and we don't profile visitors.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use personal information you've already given us, we'll tell you before it takes effect, and where the law requires consent, we'll ask for it.
