Prop Firm Payout Frequency: Daily, Weekly and More

How often prop firms pay, with real schedules, minimums and caps, and why faster isn't always better.

By Prop Firm Duel · · updated Sep 27, 2026

Prop firms pay on very different schedules, from daily requests to one payout every two weeks or more. Most programs also set a minimum and sometimes a maximum per request. The schedule matters as much as the split, because it decides how quickly profit turns into money you can use.

Key takeaways

  • Daily payouts are now common in futures, but usually only after a buffer is cleared.
  • Other programs pay every 5 days, weekly or after a waiting period.
  • Many programs cap each request, especially the first few.
  • Faster payouts often come with a smaller cap per request.

What payout schedules do prop firms use?

These examples come from each firm's own website, as we recorded them on September 26 and 27, 2026:

ScheduleExample programs
DailyLucid Trading LucidDaily, My Funded Futures Rapid (after the buffer), Goat Funded Futures GOAT Daily, Tradeify Select
Every 5 daysTradeify Growth and Lightning Funded, Top One Futures Instant Sim Funded
WeeklyEarn2Trade Trader Career Path, Apex Trader Funding (every 5 qualifying days)
After a waiting periodMy Funded Futures Pro, 14 days after the first funded trade

Firms update schedules often, so confirm the current one on the firm's payout page before you buy.

Are there minimum and maximum payout amounts?

Usually. Minimum requests in our data ranged from $125 to $1,000, depending on the program. Maximums vary more. Some programs cap each request, such as FundedNext Futures' Flex at $1,500 to $4,000 by account size. Others cap each cycle at a share of your profit, often 50%. A few, like My Funded Futures' Pro, allow requests as large as $100,000.

Do you need trading days between payouts?

At many programs, yes. Some count any trading day. Others count only profitable days above a set amount, such as $200 a day. Top One Futures' Elite Access, for example, asks for 5 profitable days, with a minimum daily profit set by account size. Check whether the firm counts calendar days, trading days or winning days, since the difference can double your wait.

Is a faster payout schedule always better?

Not always. Compare two programs over one month, each with $4,000 in profit:

  • Daily payouts, capped at $500 a request: you can withdraw steadily, but large winning days wait for later requests.
  • Every two weeks, capped at 50% of profit: you can withdraw about $2,000 across the month, and the rest stays in the account as a cushion.

The first gives you cash sooner. The second leaves more room above your floor. Neither is better for every trader, which is why the schedule and the caps belong in the same decision. How prop firm payouts work ties the rules together.

Common questions

Can I get paid every day by a prop firm?

Some programs allow daily requests once you're funded and past any buffer. Check the program's minimum request and cap.

Are the first payouts capped?

Often. Some caps rise after the first few payouts. Others stay the same for every request.

How long does the money take to arrive?

That depends on the payment method. See prop firm payout methods, and before your first request, why payouts get denied. Every firm page links to each program's payout rules.
